Arcnel Inc. will serve as an instructor for the Direction Course of Advanced Technology Content Production Training 2026, a program run as part of Live-Action Content Production Talent Development Training 2026 — Developing World-Class Showrunners and Drama Creators, organized by Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC).

The program gives staff at Japanese broadcasters and production companies hands-on exposure to advanced shooting and production techniques such as virtual production and visualization. It is organized by MIC, administered by Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc., with the training itself designed and operated by Sony PCL Inc.

Arcnel's role

Arcnel joins the Direction Course as one of its main instructors. We will cover recent work from overseas productions and the state of emerging techniques — including 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) — framed so that participants can picture how these tools apply to their own productions.

The Direction Course is aimed at producers and directors who decide whether a technology gets adopted at all. Rather than stopping at how each technique works, we will lay out its strengths, its trade-offs, and the criteria for choosing the right production method for a given project.
